About 60 countries in the world produce coffee. Due to geological and climatic requirements, most of the production areas are located in the tropical and subtropical regions between the North and South tropics. The average temperature is above 20 °C and the altitude is about 1500 meters. This coffee cultivation area is called "Coffee Belt". Coffee growing areas are concentrated in North Africa, Central and South America, Southeast Asia and northern Oceania.
